Zerowaste Gift Ideas

This year I’ve decided to go with a zero waste theme, which I’m becoming quite passionate about. Why not make others aware what small things you can do that makes a huge impact, and giving gifts is a fantastic why but not being pushy about it. I found that so many people embrace the idea once they actually know there are alternatives available.
A lot of people already use reusable shopping bags but have you thought about those annoying small produce bags that normally get thrown in the bin as soon as you get home. By just using reusable produce bags instead of the plastic ones at the supermarket for example and then going glad wrap free at home, can make a huge impact on the environment
Beeswax wraps are a fantastic alternative to plastic wrap, just mould around your food or bowl and the warmth of your hands heats the wax and it stays in place. Ok so what I made for my lovely teachers this year was:

Coffee and Lemongrass sugar Body Scrub,

1 cup of sugar
1 cup of ground used coffee grounds
around 1/4 cup of coconut oil melted if its solid or any other oil you would like (almond)
a few drops of lemongrass essential oil
mix it all together and breath in the gorgeousness of coffee and lemongrass. I spooned mine into some empty jars I had, stuck a blackboard sticker on, that way the jar can be reused ofter the scrub is empty.

Mesh Produce Bags

I make these using upcylcled net fabric from net curtains,

Welcome to my creative space

Hello, and welcome to my website and blog,

My name is Angie and I create mostly one off pieces which I stock at a quirky little boutique called   Bridgetown Loft located in the South West of Australia.

I make mostly children’s and baby toys and clothing but have recently started making an Eco range including beeswax wraps and produce bags.
